
Dzauqy Ilham
Born in Metro in 1996, Dzauqy Ilham began his filmmaking journey after completing his Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. He then focused on directing and screenwriting. He often explores stories rooted in the cultural, traditional, social, and political phenomena of his surroundings. He tends to frame these narratives with shades of satire, comedy, fantasy, and even sci-fi. His short films have screened and competed at numerous prominent festivals, including the Indiskop Film Festival 2022, Viddsee Juree Awards 2021, Open Air Cinema-Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF) 2022 and the DOSS Film Festival 2024. One of his most notable works, the short film "Tutup Hari Kiamat" (Apocalypse Mart), has garnered significant recognition. It was named an Official Selection at Europe on Screen 2025, won 2nd Place at the Madani International Film Festival 2025, and was shortlisted in the top 20 for the Best Live Action Short Film category at the 2025 Festival Film Indonesia (FFI).
