Déborrah Moogy Morgan


Déborrah "Moogy" Morgan is a musician and actor.


Born in french speaking Belgium, she moved to Australia at age 6.


Piano lessons from that age and constant playing and love for the instrument, today makes Déborrah an extremely accomplished piano player. Gifted with a natural singing voice that complimented her piano playing, Déborrah combined the two to write and compose her own songs and become a complete performer.


Dancing, another of Déborrah's passions, was also fostered from an early age. She learnt ballet, jazz and tap.


At age 11 Déborrah returned to Belgium with her family to begin high school, where she immediately put her performing talents to good use. Joining the school theatre company, Déborrah scored starring roles in numerous productions such as 'Gardes-en de très doux pour toi', 'Le père Noel est une ordure' and 'Pourvu que s'eveillent les vents'.


After high school, Déborrah attended the prestigious 'Jazz Studio' in Antwerp to master her jazz piano technique.


In the year 2000 Déborrah returned to Australia to begin a new life and utilised all her performing techniques to make a living. Performing solo on piano and sometimes as a duo or trio, Déborrah joined the very lucrative corporate circuit.


But she still found the time to write and compose songs, which she has recorded on two albums.


She has also done an extensive amount of studio work, singing lead and backing vocals for various songwriters in many different music styles. She played the lead role in 'Elle t'attend', produced by the Melbourne French Theatre for which she also performed on tour in Victorian schools doing short comedy sketches by 'Courteline'.
