Born David Johnathon Doyle Garry in Gosford, NSW Australia on the third of March 1986. Throughout most of his childhood he lived in Budgewoi, NSW then at Buff Point during high school and finally settled in the Blue Mountains after he completed high school.

Ever since childhood he was fascinated by the craft of acting, doing very well and getting high grades in his drama and music classes, while getting small parts at his local community theater company in Wyong. In his final years of high school, he took private singing training under Elizabeth Dilley on the central coast, then continued under the tutelage of Richard Morphew in the Blue Mountains. During his life in the Blue Mountains, he honed his craft by doing various courses to do with acting, several at the NIDA.
